“How would that not be praised”- Chael Sonnen slams Joe Rogan for his comment on Conor McGregor’s call out of Kamaru Usman
Chael Sonnen on Joe Rogan
Chael Sonnen slams Joe Rogan for his recent comment! Conor McGregor is out from a broken foot injury he sustained in his fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Conor hasn’t competed since July 2021, and he’s been eyeing a welterweight return upon his arrival. Conor has been calling his shots, and he wants to get a title fight against the welterweight champ, Kamaru Usman.
Talking about his return in an interview with The Mac Life, he said, “Myself versus Usman for the 170-pound title in my comeback fight is the one I’m eyeballing at the minute. Why cut the weight? I’ve already won the 155-pound title. And I feel confident against Usman, a jab-happy, sloppy, orthodox wrestler with no submissions whatsoever. What’s he going to do? Where’s the danger here? I don’t see danger. No one has ever obtained three titles in three divisions like I will do if we make this fight.”

Rogan is a long-time UFC commentator and analyst. He took notice of Conor’s call-out and warned him to be more careful with his words. In his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, he said, “He’s talking about fighting Kamaru Usman. Be careful what you ask for. Usman is a big man, and he’s top of the food chain right now.”
“Why should Conor be careful?” Chael Sonnen doesn’t see anything wrong with Conor McGregor calling out Kamaru Usman
Chael Sonnen took notice of Rogan’s comment, and he was pretty surprised by his observation. In his recent YouTube video, he said, “Joe Rogan was talking about Conor McGregor’s callout of Kamaru Usman. And Joe said and I quote the old adage, ‘Be careful what you ask for because you just might get it.’ Now, why? Why should Conor be careful? What is it that Kamaru Usman or anybody for that matter can bring to the octagon that Conor McGregor hasn’t seen?“9“
Chael added, “Why should anyone be careful what they’re asking for, when what they’re asking for is an opportunity to take on the baddest man in the world. How would that not be praised? Why would that be cautioned? And if your overarching emphasis is that you’re scared that you’re going to lose and/or get hurt, what are you doing in the tough guy business?”
