Kamaru Usman, the UFC WW champion of the world, does not like the way Conor McGregor conducts himself as a Martial Artist.
Conor McGregor is the highest-paid athlete of 2021. However, McGregor is not the ‘notorious’ by just a nickname. His way of life and the reason for quick success in the UFC, have seen him do things that are not taught conventionally. McGregor has disrespected his opponents, their families, their cast, their religions, and even their entire countries.
Kamaru Usman comes from very humble roots, and he has always shown respect towards his opponents. Apart from a few banters with his opponents before the fight, the Nigerian Nightmare could be a role model for the younger generation.
It disgusts Usman that McGregor neglects the respect and the camaraderie and trashes his opponents to get more attention. Even though it has made McGregor a lot of money, according to Usman, in hindsight, it is not a good look for a younger fan watching the sport of MMA and thinking this is the way to become successful.
Usman, in an interview with GQ magazine, said, “Completely ignore the respect aspect and you get super famous. How do you tell these kids nowadays, ‘Hey, respect is the most important thing,’ when they can be super-rich and famous like Conor?”

Conor McGregor Had His Eyes Set on the WW Champion Kamaru Usman
McGregor has previously called out The Nigerian Nightmare for his WW championship. Usman, with all the money involved in this fight, was interested in the fight, though he believed the notorious would not fight him.
McGregor had said he would spark Usman; Usman mocked McGregor for his comments and mentioned his losses to Dustin Poirier, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Nate Diaz.
This fight was never a real fight and will never come to fruition. Usman is pound-for-pound fight number 1 fighter in the UFC and McGregor is yet to win a fight against a ranked fighter at WW.
