“I’ve some thinking to do”- Conor McGregor is intrigued by Charles Oliveira’s call-out, might ditch welterweight return

Conor McGregor vs Charles Oliveira
Conor McGregor has replied to the call-outs made by Charles Oliveira and Micheal Chandler but he is not sure about it. UFC 274 featured two huge lightweight bouts including Tony Ferguson vs Michael Chandler and the title fight, Oliveira vs Justin Gaethje.
Both the fights were extremely entertaining and they showed why the lightweight division is considered so hard to compete in. Earlier during the weigh-ins, Oliveira was stripped of the lightweight title but Gaethje still had the opportunity to take the belt. During the fight, both started well and exchanged a lot of shots. But in the 4th min of the first round, ‘ Do Bronx’ caught Gaethje and submitted him with a rear-naked choke.
After winning the bout, during the post-fight interview, Oliveira made a statement that he is the best and the champion of the lightweight division. The fighter also took this opportunity to call out Conor McGregor for a fight. He said :
“The champion has a name and it’s Charles Oliveira ‘ Do Bronx’…Dana White, you can put anyone in front of me. I’m not going to choose. Hey, Conor McGregor. Are you coming up? Or are you going to run away?” said Oliveira.
Conor McGregor reacts to Charles Oliveira calling him out

After the call-out by Charles Oliviera, Conor McGregor didn’t waste much time sharing his response
‘The Notorious’ took to Twitter to address the call-out. He explained that he has no intentions of cutting weight as he is enjoying his current bulk and being big. McGregor revealed that he wants to fight at his current size and have fun. But again, the former UFC double champion explained that he has an interest in fighting Oliveira because he is a Brazilian. McGregor claimed that he loves Brazil and has an impeccable record of all Knockouts against Brazilian fighters. The fighter believes he will have to think about this opportunity.
” I’m not sure I wish to cut the weight. I am really enjoying being built like a refrigerator. I feel I want to fight at this size just to watch it back lol. But I’d love to fight the Brazilian, 100%! I love Brazil and I’m unbeaten against Brazil. All KO’s. I’ve some thinking to do,” wrote McGregor.
After suffering the leg injury last year against Dustin Poirier, McGregor was recovering from it and gained a lot of weight. Looking at some of his recent pictures on Instagram it’s fair to say he fits in the welterweight category. Cutting down weight is always a great task and it’s reasonable why McGregor doesn’t want to do it. Anyways, it will be interesting to see who gets to fight McGregor in his UFC comeback.
