“Maybe I’ve punched him too hard” – Jan Blachowicz and Corey Anderson go back and forth on Twitter
Jan Blachowicz and Corey Anderson
There is a Twitter war raging between light-heavyweights Jan Blachowicz and Corey Anderson. Anderson, who is currently in Bellator, earned a first-round TKO win over Ryan Bader to advance to the Bellator Light-Heavyweight World Grand Prix Final. He is now one step away from Bellator glory.
Following his win over Bader, Anderson claimed that he was the best light-heavyweight in the world. His comments irked UFC light-heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz. ‘The Super Pole’ was the last man to defeat Anderson. In fact, he knocked Anderson out cold in February 2020. The fight was also Anderson’s last in the UFC.
Taking to Twitter, Blachowicz fired back at Corey Anderson stating that he had no right to claim kingship after being slept only a year back. ‘Super Jan’ was also not particularly impressed with Anderson having a couple of wins in what he believes is a “2nd league.” Anderson then gave back as well, pointing out the first time the two met inside the Octagon – Anderson won via. unanimous decision.
“2nd fight – Lucky punch” – Corey Anderson to Jan Blachowicz
Blachowicz wrote, “Hold up… So a guy who bolted from the UFC after I’ve slept him and almost made him retire, got a couple of wins in the 2nd league and claims he is the best? Maybe I’ve punched him to hard… No class in win or defeat Corey. There’s levels to this.“
Anderson’s reply read: “Let’s not forget. What happened to you the 1st time I left you looking like elephant man. And you posted “I need to go home and rethink my career”. Yea I got knocked out in our 2nd fight (lucky punch?) but I made you my broad for 15 min straight nothing lucky about that.“
He also went on to post a photo of Blachowicz looking hammered following the loss at UFC 191. Scott Coker and Dana White’s turn to make a cross-promotional trilogy happen!
Anderson is one step away from Bellator MMA glory. He will be now be taking on Vadim Nemkov in the Grand Prix Final. Nemkov has never been defeated in Bellator. Blachowicz, on the other hand, will be defending his light-heavyweight belt at UFC 267, against Glover Teixeira.
