“I wonder how Dana White feels now?”- Corey Anderson taunts UFC president after his light heavyweight title match at Bellator 277

Dana White and Corey Anderson

Corey Anderson has one of the most interesting stories in MMA. Not long ago he was just another fighter in the UFC. But, within a span of only two years he has become one of the most significant fighters in Bellator.

It all started when Anderson felt neglected in his previous promotion and didn’t like the way UFC treated him. Consequently, the fighter requested a release from the UFC. Surprisingly, the UFC didn’t hesitate to release the fighter.

Within two years Anderson became one of the most prominent fighters for his new promotion “Bellator”. In his most recent title fight against Vadim Nemkov he proved how good of a fighter he is.

Until Nemkov and Anderson got into a head clash, Corey was leading the fight and dominating Nemkov. However, bad luck, the head butt lead the fight to a no contest.

Recently, Anderson talked about his fight against Nemkov to The Fighter vs. The Writer. He explained how winning the fight technically would have made him face public hatred.

Corey Anderson said that if the fight would have ended technically in favour of him people would have said “You didn’t finish him, there’s two rounds left, you never really finished the fight.”

Another interesting thing that concerned Corey Anderson was how Dana White would have felt after seeing him perform so good.

“In my head, I was like, ‘I wonder how Dana White feels now? I wonder if he saw that fight. I wonder how he feels. Granted, he might not have seen it, but I just wondered if he regret letting me go? Does he regret they didn’t put that energy into promoting me like they did these other guys, now that they can see what I can do with a little love behind me, to feel like I actually belong somewhere. Like they actually want me” said Corey Anderson.

However, Dana hasn’t been asked about Corey’s recent performance. But, do you feel the chances of UFC missing or regretting releasing him before Corey Anderson peaked? Do let us know in the comment section.
