Francis Ngannou has an ultimatum he is to face at the end of the year that could change his career trajectory and depending on his choice Curtis Blaydes stands to benefit based on it.

Francis Ngannou’s contract with the UFC stands to be renewed and if he choose not to sign a new contract with the promotion and move on, Curtis Blaydes has better chances to fight for the title.

Blaydes even encourages him to opt for boxing as he evaluates Ngannou’s current plight, while keeping in mind that he has milked the UFC in every way possible and would further on have a stagnant growth.

Blaydes, tells on The MMA Hour, “If I’m him, I’m just going to box. They make a lot of money, and he would make a lot of money against Joshua or Tyson or Deontay. He would be rich. So if I’m him, I would let my knee heal up and get ready to box.”

Curtis currently has suffered two losses at the hands of the Heavyweight Champion.

Francis has previously expressed his lifelong interest in boxing and now with the UFC 270 being made out as his last fight in his contract, it seems like he can still pursue his long due but nor forgotten dream.

Francis owes the UFC another fight due to an extension clause but he free to do as he wishes after December.

Ngannou is currently undergoing the knife to repair the damages his knee incurred, while he was training to fight Ciryl Gane at UFC 270. However the chances of him leaving are high, as he doesn’t have a good standing with UFC President, Dana White. Dana has even expressed that he thinks Ngannou will resign.
