UFC’s heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou is one of the most scariest guys on this planet. His knockout power is unmatched, and his punch packs as much power as getting hit by a car moving at full speed. He captured the belt by knocking out the heavyweight G.O.A.T, Stipe Miocic in their rematch.

His first title defense came after a lot of struggle, and he took on the former interim heavyweight champion, Ciryl Gane at the main event of UFC 270. Ngannou had some troubles with the UFC re-negotiating his contract. He revealed that the UFC threatened to sue his manager for talking to Jake Paul’s advisor right before the fight.

Many thought Gane would dethrone Ngannou, and the UFC would cut him out, but Ngannou showed a different side of his game, and dominated Gane with his wrestling. He underwent injury right after that match, and he’s out for 9 months. Dana revealed that they are going to talk to him after he recovers, and he was positive that they’ll come in terms with him.

One Championship’s CEO, Chatri Sityodtong talked about Ngannou in his interview with South China Morning Post, and he truly believes his athletes can smoke Ngannou any day they want, “I like Francis Ngannou but I think our Heavyweights would smoke him. He’s just not a complete fighter. For sure, if you ask any expert martial artist, you look at [ONE interim champion] Anatoly Malykhin — Russian national pedigree wrestler, dynamite in his hands. Much faster than Francis, much better ground game, black-belt level.”

He added, “He was also a submission champion in Europe. You look at [undisputed champion] Arjan Bhullar, wrestling, boxing. Francis is not very impressive on the ground. He’s got big, looping punches, he’s not as technical of a boxer as Anatoly or even Arjan. We have a few other signings in the Heavyweight division we haven’t announced yet that are just killers. So I think this is year, the last several months especially, we have truly arrived in terms of our Heavyweight division being neck and neck with the UFC’s.”
