Dan Hooker

UFC might not necessarily have the best relationship with the fighters in its roster. Dan Hooker the star lightweight seems to be having some trouble fighting under the promotion’s banner.

Dan Hooker is one of the top lightweights in the UFC and he recently posted a tweet that suggests he isn’t being treated well by the fighting organization. Dana White and the company are notorious for getting into feuds with their contract fighters. The most notable one being Jon Jones. “The Hangman” came out on Twitter asking for new jobs despite being one of the fighters at the UFC 266 card.

“Any jobs going?” wrote Hooker followed by offering himself to be a bodyguard to a member of the New Zealand parliament. Hooker tagged David Seymour and asked, “you need a security guard?” Fans had some responses in the comments but most of them felt bad that a fighter of Dan’s level had to stoop down so low despite still having a lot of fight in him.

Dan Hooker is scheduled to fight Nasrat Haqparast at UFC 266. The fight should take place on 26th September. There are chances that Kiwi might not be able to make it to the pay-per-view fight given New Zealand’s strict COVID protocols that might stop the fighter from traveling to Las Vegas. If that is the case, Hooker is in for a really tough time.

Hooker is coming off a highlight-reel knockout loss against Michael Chandler at UFC 257 in the very first round. Hooker has fought some of the top fighters in the promotion including the likes of lightweight title contender Dustin Poirier, Paul Felder, Al Iaquinta, and more. Why do you think Dustin posted such a Tweet?
