Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz

Dana White has always been about putting together fights that the fans want and it seems like there is one fan-favorite fight that is already on the UFC President’s mind.

Of all the fights that are long-awaited in the UFC, a Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz trilogy is what the fans are most eager to watch. The magnitude of the fight is such that even the promotion cannot say no to it. Both the fighters are two of the biggest draws in the UFC and are PPV magnets. When you put those two names together in the same fight, it only means blockbuster and the past is proof for it.

Nate Diaz is currently on his last fight in his contract and it looks like the Stockton fighter wants a fight that is cash-heavy. There have been a lot of names thrown in the mix but one name that sounds most suitable is Conor McGregor, who is a bitter rival of Nate and is looking to make his return to the octagon in the summer of 2022. Dana White has revealed in his recent interview with Brett Okamoto from ESPN that the trilogy is a fight that could happen in the year 2022.

In the interview when asked about the trilogy, Dana said, “The fight is always there. That fight could happen, you could make that fight. There are a lot of fights you could make for Nate Diaz, but Nate Diaz has to want that fight.” Both Conor and Nate are tied up 1-1 in their head-to-head and a trilogy is the only way to settle their case.

Conor and Nate met at UFC 196 and UFC 202, both the events are ranked in the top 5 most PPV in the history of the promotion. There is no doubt that the third fight will break the record for pay-per-view if it happens. Even the fighters themselves have teased about the trilogy on social media while trading insults in the constant back-and-forth.

Nate has also been offered fighters like Khamzat Chimaev, Vicente Luque, and more. Recently, Diaz and the lightweight title challenger Dustin Poirier have had their share of insults towards each other challenging for a fight. The Stockton Slugger truly has a range of options to choose from and the fans for sure will lean towards a trilogy fight.
