After Paulo Costa’s controversial call out to Derek Brunson, that caused a major uproar, the latter responds with a simple but witty question, which should have put Costa in his plan.
Recently, Costa has been very active on social media, calling out middleweight fighters, in the hopes that at least one of them would fight him. Currently he has pulled out all the stops in order to get Brunson to fight him.
Costa resorted to mock Brunson for being a former cheerleader. Posting a picture of La’ Darius Marshall, famous for his appearance on the popular Netflix show, “Cheer”, while captioning it, “Derek F** Brunson, Fight me Bitch.”
Costa’s fan, themselves weren’t pleased and rightly called out their idol, with some even asking the UFC to hold him accountable.
Despite the backlash, there has been no apology or retraction from Costa.

Derek Brunson mocks Paulo Costa’s loss to Adesanya
Admidst the scandal Costa has dug himself into, Derek reacts to the slur that was posted regarding him.
In a tweet, Brunson asks Costa, ” (Paulo Costa) how’s Izzy Jr !? He should be about 2 now.”
Many believed Costa could defeat Israel Adesanya because of his incredible size and power. But that didn’t happen. Costa was defeated by Adesanya via TKO at UFC 253. He also lost his title and his streak of being an undefeated professional MMA fighter.
Paulo Costa maybe regrets challenging middleweight champion Israel Adesanya for a fight and now has to deal with the consequences. The Brazilian was beaten by Israel in the first round, and the TKO sealed the deal. Israel was then seen to dry hump his opponent before the referee could intervene.
This is what Brunson refers to this celebration in his tweet. Brunson is making a joke that Adesanya impregnated Costa while he “celebrated” over his fallen opponent.
