“If he was that injured, he would have pulled out,” Derek Brunson believes Darren Till’s coach is lying about his injury

“If he was that injured, he would have pulled out,” Derek Brunson believes Darren Till’s coach is lying about his injury

Derek Brunson on Darren Till

Derek Brunson is dominating his opponents and stacked up a 5-fight win streak after losing to the champion Israel Adesanya back in 2018. He defeated Darren Till in his last fight and is now booked to face Jared Cannonier.

Darren Till’s coach claimed his fighter moved into the main event of UFC Fight Night 191 with a completely injured ACL. Till has not yet reacted to his coach’s comment, but he didn’t look like himself in that fight.

Till is now (1-4) in his last five fights, and he really had to consider everything regarding his career moving forward. Many UFC stars came in support of Till after that fight and advised him to keep working hard no matter what happens.

“He was doing box jumps, hang cleans, squats, all of that,” Derek Brunson isn’t buying into Darren Till’s injury narrative

Brunson believes Till’s coach is clearly lying about his injury. He said Till is known to pull out from fights, and he would’ve done the same if he was dealing with such injury.

Talking to Ariel Helwani from The MMA Hour, he said, “Listen, I don’t care about none of that. Till is the pull-out king. If he was that injured, he would have pulled out. Till was doing hang cleans and squats and deadlifts like two weeks ago. He didn’t tear his ACL. And he never said that; that’s what his coach said. I saw him at the UFC Institute, man. He was doing box jumps, hang cleans, squats, all of that.”

We are still waiting for Darren to react to the news. For now, we can just hope that he is well and fine, and is training hard to get back on the win column.
