Dustin Poirier has been open about wanting to give back to his hometown community in Lafayette, Louisiana. To this end, he and his wife Jolie started The Good Fight Foundation.

“I’m a fighter. It’s what I do. Now I want to fight for those who can’t.” said Dustin Poirier on The Good Fight Foundation website. The charity has become important for the Louisiana native and they have been involved in major projects even including UFC stars, most notably when he pledged $20,000 to a charity of Charles Oliveira‘s choice after Dustin lost in their title bout.

Porier’s latest project is a collaboration with St.Jude Children’s Research. The Good Fight Foundation is the sponsor of a 5k walk organized for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Once again the foundation has been very charitable donating $25,000 to the cause. Poirier thanked all the donors who helped with the foundation on Twitter and the official The Good Fight Foundation website.
