UFC Middleweight veteran Marcus Perez welcomed former KSW champion and South African Dricus Du Plessis to the UFC at Fight Island 5 in Abu Dhabi. Dricus Du Plessis stopped Marcus Perez in the very first round.

Although Du Pleesis looked a little hesistant in the beginning, call it “debut-jitters”, it did not take him much time to prove his skills against his middleweight opponent.

Fight Analysis-

Round 1 started with both Marcus Perez and Dricus Du Plessis engaging as the referee begins the fight. Perez landed the first jab in the fight. For the first minute, it is visible that Du Plessis is trying to engage but is a little hesitant against Perez in his debut. Perez lands a beautiful leg kick. Perez engages, Du Plessis connects with a beautiful left hook which makes Perez drop to the canvas. This was followed by a series of punches, making referee put a stop to this contest.
