In what was the co-main event of the night, Andre Fili took on Bryce Mitchell in a featherweight fight. The fight saw Mitchell put away Fili via decision and move to a 4-0 record in the UFC.

Fight Analysis:

Round 1: Mitchell went for a takedown almost immediately. They hit the mat but Fili managed to get up. Mitchell has wrapped up Fili’s legs. Fili scrambles halfway up but Mitchell brings him back down. Mitchell moves into the mount but Fili to get to his feet. Mitchell gets Fili down again. Fili works his way up but Mitchell scrambles to his back and drags him back down, again. Fili rolls and Mitchell mounts him. Mitchell went for ground-and-pound but Fili shoved him back into half guard. Mitchell jumps back into the full mount. Fili returns him to half guard, again. Mitchell moves to mount. Fili reverses him and ends up on top. Fili stands up and the two are back in the center. Mitchell with another take down. He tries some ground-and-pound from the standing position but nothing significant lands. The round ends.

Round 2: Mitchell landed a pair of hard-left hands then went for a takedown, which Fili defended. Fili landed a combination as he moved forward. Mitchell went in and Fili connected with a good flying knee that stuns Mitchell. He immediately moved straight back. Fili lands a combination. Pressing Fili against the cage, Mitchell is unable to get a takedown. Fili shoves him off and connects with a hard combination. The tides feel like they’re turning. Fili lands a left hand. Mitchell switches to a single-leg against the cage and he gets it. He moves to side control and looks for a choke which Fili avoids. Fili presses off the cage and scrambles to his feet. Fili goes right at Mitchell and lands a big punch. Mitchell again goes for a takedown but Fili shoved him aside. The round ends with Mitchell having a significant lead in strikes.

19-18 Mitchell.

Round 3 (final round) – The round starts with Fili connecting with a right hand but Mitchell taking him down shortly after. Fili tried to get up but was unsuccessful. Fili shoves Mitchell off but was immediately brought back down again. Mitchell is in half guard. Fili bucks off the mat and reversed Mitchell. Moments later, Mitchell gets back to his feet and takes Fili down again. Fili shakes his legs out and returns Mitchell into his guard. Mitchell tries some ground-and-pound but Fili lands a sneaky elbow off his back. Fili shoots for an armbar but gives it up. Fili lands another sneaky elbow. With 10 seconds left, Fili shoves Mitchell off. Fili tries to get up but Mitchell football tackles him back down. The round – and the fight – ends at the horn. Mitchell wins the fight with a 29-27 striking advantage.
