UFC welterweight Gilbert “Durino” Burns came under the spotlight recently when former Bellator lightweight AJ Agazarm took to twitter to accuse Burns about an apparent steroid usage based on an analysis of his physique.

The three-time World Champion and World Cup gold medalist moved to the UFC and last took part in the Octagon in December of 2018 against Olivier Aubin-Mercier.

He faced Dan Hooker on July 7, 2018 at UFC 226 where he lost in the first round via knockout making it the first knockout loss of his career. Burns took to Twitter to show off his super thick, muscular neck and compared it to that of ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson himself

Steroid accusations from AJ Agazarm

The two had plenty of things to say about each other and ended in a threatening manner with Gilbert being the last to have something to say.

Gilbert Burns and Agazarm have a considerable amount of history between them, as the two have confronted each other on numerous events on the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions. The two last met at KASAI Pro 3 back in 2018, and during the post-fight interview exchanged a handful of unpleasant things to say about each other.

Agazarm may not be the only one who has called out Burns for utilizing steroids, as in 2016, multiple-time time BJJ champion and ONE Championship fighter Garry Tonon made a comparable allegation.

Burns has multiple gold medals in Gi and No-Gi competitions and is a highly skilled jiu-jitsu fighter. Kamaru Usman and Burns have chances to compete for the UFC welterweight title at UFC 258 in February making it the first title defence for Burns.
