UFC France is now on! With MMA being legalized in France in 2020, UFC is still looking to make its debut on French soil. COVID-19 restrictions in recent years made it difficult for the Organization to bring the action to France but as COVID-19 waves cool down, UFC France is now ready to roll.

According to both Ariel Helwani and Al Zulino, UFC France is likely to be held on September 3rd, in Paris, France and France’s own fighter Ciryl Gane will take on Tai Tuivasa for the main event. Al Zulino, in his recent tweet, said: “Following an initial report by @arielhelwani I’ve been able to confirm Ciryl Gane x Tai Tuivasa has been targeted as the main event of the first-ever UFC French event, which takes place in Paris, on September 3. Can’t wait for the rest of the card.”

However, no official announcement has been released by the UFC about UFC France. Ciryl last fought against the UFC heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou which resulted in a unanimous decision victory for the champ. Gane is currently 10-1 with the only loss coming from the heavyweight champ himself.

Tai Tuivasa won his last fight against Derrick Lewis at UFC 271 and is currently enjoying a five-fight win streak with each ending with a T/KO. For Gane, his home soil can present him a chance to rebound from the first loss of his professional career, and for Tai, it can be a good opportunity to keep the win streak going.
