Francis Ngannou’s next fight: Sticking to MMA or a potential jump to Boxing?
Francis Ngannou the scariest man in the world of Combat Sports is getting a lot of attention from various MMA/Boxing promotions.
Francis Ngannou (AP)
After leaving the UFC, Francis Ngannou is on the priority list of many combat sports promotion companies. The Predator has already received many offers from MMA and boxing fighters, but he has made clear it will be in boxing gloves this time but not officially announced.
Francis Ngannou has already registered his name as one of the best heavyweights who can knock out anyone. Already, many boxers have called him out to test his skills in bigger gloves. The legend Floyd Mayweather has already asked that he wants to sign Francis Ngannou in his Floyd Mayweather Promotions.
But the problem is that Francis left the UFC because they were not agreeing with his financial demands. The predator chose to vacant the heavyweight title over his norms, and since then, he has been a free agent. The most dangerous man is still welcome in the UFC, but he has other plans after his contract period is over.
Francis Ngannou’s potential next fight
Since Francis is a former champion and never lost the belt, he will only be looking to fight against the former or current champ in the heavyweight division.
Francis Ngannou VS Tyson Fury
Right now, the predator has told the media that he will be giving his shot in the boxing ring. The intentions are pretty clear for Francis Ngannou right now: he will be fighting against someone who can give him a tough challenge with the same amount of knockout power. Before leaving the UFC, Tyson Fury called Francis Ngannou out after he defeated Dillian Whyte.
After agreeing to this, Tyson Fury already said that if Francis really wanted to make money, they could meet in the boxing ring, and the world will get to know who is the baddest MF on the planet. As time progresses, Francis Ngannou has already been approached by many, and he has made it clear that he wants at least one match in boxing. He even said that if Tyson Fury is not ready to fight, he has many other options while talking to ESPN.
Francis Ngannou VS Deontay Wilder
Before facing Tyson Fury, Francis Ngannou is going to face Deontay Wilder, as he cleared up on TMZ Sports. The former UFC heavyweight champion said he is ready for the challenge against the former boxing heavyweight champion. In the interview, he already said, “He’s ready for that,.” Francis even said that he and Wilder are excited about the fight.
They even discussed making one fight in Africa and the other one anywhere. Ngannou is a knockout artist, and in his whole career in MMA, he has had 17 wins, 12 of which were knockouts and four from submissions. Before concluding the interview, the predator said, “I can knock everybody out,”
A potential jump to BKFC?
Francis Ngannou can dominate Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) with his ruthless punching power. The President of BKFC has already pitched a potential matchup idea to his dominating fighter, UFC veteran Alan Belcher. To this, Belcher said, “I’m 100 percent interested in that,”. Belchar planned to end his retirement just to fight against the best. He even claimed that it was not about money this time but fighting against the best.
Alan has a 4-0 record since returning from retirement, with three of his victories coming by knockout. While talking to MMA fighters, the 38-year-old fighter had already mentioned that “This would be my first world championship, So I’m taking it very seriously.” After defeating Arnold Adams on BKFC 36, he became the BKFC heavyweight champion.
Francis Ngannou VS Dillian Whyte
Dillian Whyte, a Jamaican-born professional boxer known to have competed in MMA and kickboxing, has also commented about competing in the Predator. Dillian is asking for a huge cross-code boxing bout against former champion Francis Ngannou. Whyte is officially the second man to call out Francis Ngannou after Tyson Fury.
Whyte, while talking to Sky Sports, said, “I think I would bash him up.“ Both have competed in kickboxing and MMA and now that Whyte is already in boxing, he will be looking to face the best knockout artist. Whyte is also known for his 12-second knockout on his professional MMA debut back in 2008.
