“Best in my opinion,” Gilbert Burns reveals his pick for Kamaru Usman vs Georges St-Pierre

Gilbert Burns on Kamaru Usman vs GSP
Kamaru Usman has dominated everyone inside the welterweight division. He holds wins over every top-level contender in the UFC, and many claimed he is one of the best welterweights to ever walk on this planet.
Even UFC president Dana White claimed Usman is the greatest welterweight ever. After his victory against Colby Covington in a rematch at UFC 268, he left no doubts that he can take on any welterweight in this world. Usman is undefeated in the UFC, and he plans on leaving the sport, the same way.
People compare him to the great, Georges St-Pierre, former title challenger, Gilbert Burns believes Usman can even beat GSP. Talking on MMA Fighting’s Portuguese-language podcast Trocação Franca, he said, “The way he’s dominating is way more appealing than St-Pierre’s way. St-Pierre took people down and did ground and pound, it wasn’t such convincing victory sometimes, and Kamaru is winning way more convincingly. He’s already the best in my opinion, but I think he’s still missing more title defenses to end the conversation.”
“It’s harder to have another opportunity,” Gilbert Burns understand he is nowhere near a title shot right now

Burns faced Usman at the main event of UFC 258, he started off really well, but eventually lost the fight via TKO, Burns is now back on the win column with his win over Stephen Thompson, talking about the next title shot, he said, “I think two very dominant performances, bloody ones, or getting the knockout or the submission, I think that can get me back to the belt. But I think depends on the opponent, it has to be the perfect combination of right opponent and division.”
He added, “Since I had the opportunity before and started really well but lost by TKO, it’s harder to have another opportunity. That’s the reality. So it has to be a very dominant performance. My training today are based on that, knowing that may next performance must shock everybody.”
