Gregory Rodrigues and Dusko Todorovic
The Middleweight contest of UFC Vegas 28’s fight card marked the fight between Dusko Todorovic (10-1) and Gregory Rodrigues (7-3). Todorovic stepped into this fight facing the first loss of his MMA career against Punahele Soriano and Rodrigues made his UFC debut with this fight.
Round 1: Rodrigues started the fight with a right hand and Dusko Todorovic rushed forward and hold him against the cage in a clinch. They continued to work in the clinch and Rodrigues tossed Todorovic with a beautiful throw. Todorovic gets back on his feet very fast and Rodrigues landed a crisp jab.
Both men got locked against in the clinch again and Todorovic landed a nice jab. Rodrigues moved his head well and landed a one-two combination. They traded again just as the round ends.
Round 2: Todorovic landed a nice right hand as just as the round started and Rodrigues answered him well with a body shot. Rodrigues landed his right hand jabs really well and Todorovic hold him again in the clinch. Rodrigues moved very well and connected with a few body shots.
Todorovic tries to land a knee but Rodrigues holds him and landed a hard knee. Todorovic landed a low kick just as the round ends.
Dusko Todorovic and Rodrigues produced a heck of a fight
Round 3: Punches traded between both just as the round started and Rodrigues landed a nice right hand. Todorovic tried to land a flying knee but missed and Rodrigues secured a takedown. Todorovic tried to scramble and gets up eventually but got caught with a jab while doing so. Rodrigues missed a low kick and Todorovic capitalized and landed a right hand. Both of them traded once again just as the fight ends.
Result: Gregory Rodrigues def Dusko Todorovic via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
