The team claimed that Ryan never took drugs on purpose, which could now land him in legal trouble at the age of 25. In his most recent video, Sonnen highlighted how a powerful legal team can contest the outcome. However, making a statement like that can hurt their chances.
Garcia was also initially accused of using the metabolite 19-norandrosterone, but he was later cleared of the charge. However, Ostarine’s could have a significant impact on his career. It is also being predicted that his fight with Haney will become a no-contest.
Chael Sonnen believes Ryan Garcia is innocent
Throughout Sonnen’s mixed martial arts career, he’s never been one to hide his use of performance-enhancing drugs. Recently, the ‘American Gangster’ commented on Garcia’s failed drug test before his fight against Haney, in which he tested positive for PEDs Ostarine.
During an interview with The MMA Hour, the UFC Hall of Famer commented on the controversial situation. While most of the combat sports world believes that Ryan Garcia is guilty, Sonnen does not. As such, he stated that Garcia did not use anabolic steroids because he did not get stronger, faster, or bigger.
Yeah, he’s a clean man. He’s clean if you’re talking about anabolics.

Ostarine is a selective androgen receptor modulator. Hence, Chael Sonnen believes that there would be clear signs that he used such a drug. Regardless, Garcia is now in deeper trouble after his B sample returned positive. However, he has been claiming his innocence after conducting a hair sample drug test.
