That was the day the UFC fighter made history. He was crowned the youngest American wrestler to win a gold medal at 21. In ‘Friday Night Fight Night with Kari Lake,’ the fighter spoke about his pride and love for the Mexican culture and how important it is to his career. However, the fighter said that America would be the country he would represent. ‘Triple C’ also mentioned how he will never be seen with a Mexican flag. Fans took to social media to call out the fighter on his hypocrisy.

To an audience, Cejudo said this on the mic, “My message today guys, as a Latino-American, cause first and foremost, I am American. I was born in this country, I was raised in this country, and you guys will never see me, as much as I love my culture too, you guys will never see me with a Mexican flag. Because this country [America] has given me so much, said Henry Cejudo.

When fans came across this speech, they quickly called out the fighter. On previous occasions, Henry Cejudo can be seen with a Mexican flag draped around his shoulder. Nonetheless, Twitter exploded as Triple C spoke about his own country.
