“3rd match seals the deal,” Henry Cejudo suggests Nick Diaz and Robbie Lawler get a trilogy fight
Henry Cejudo on Nick Diaz
“Triple C” Henry Cejudo wants Nick Diaz and Robbie Lawler to run it back for the third time and make a fantastic trilogy.
Henry Cejudo, a former two-division champion in UFC has massive respect for MMA legend Nick Diaz. Nick recently came back from a long hiatus of 6 years to fight a rematch that was 17 years due against Robbie Lawler. The fight took place at the UFC 266 main card. The T-Mobile Arena was packed to see the two legends fight their rematch. Nick lost the fight via TKO and that was a tough sight to see for the fans.
Cejudo believes Nick still has a lot of fight still left in him and just needs more time to get back into form. In a recent episode of Triple C & Schmo Show, Cejudo expressed his thoughts about the Diaz fight.
“He should get another crack at Robbie Lawler,” says Henry Cejudo
In the episode, Henry said, “I think he should get another crack at Robbie Lawler. I hate throwing the word legend, but Nick Diaz is a legend. Nick, if you’re watching this, for all your fans I say you make a trilogy. They’re 1-1. The 3rd match seals the deal. I truly do believe in my heart with a little bit more time, Nick will beat him.”
Nick has not had a positive vibe coming into their rematch as he was saying the fight makes no sense. The Stockton fighter claimed that he already knew that he was going to lose the fight in his interviews. Do you think a trilogy fight makes sense?
