“He’s a weird little guy”- Daniel Cormier curious to see Henry Cejudo’s impact on Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 270

Henry Cejudo and Deiveson Figueiredo
Two of UFC’s most exciting flyweight fighters are ready to run things back for the third time. The first pay-per-view event of 2022 will see the trilogy of Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno. Only this time, Henry Cejudo, the former flyweight and bantamweight champion is backing the Brazilian to win back his belt.
Deiveson and Brandon have fought each other twice in the past. The first time both fought was at the main event of UFC 256 where the bout ended in a draw giving Figueiredo a title defense. In 2021, at the co-main event of UFC 263, Moreno created history by becoming the first-ever Mexican champion in the UFC by choking out the Brazilian flyweight champ.
This time, for the trilogy, Deiveson has partnered with Henry Cejudo to help him train. With Cejudo in the mix-up, things have gotten personal as Cejudo and Moreno go a long way back to The Ultimate Fighter 24. Cejudo and Moreno trained together prior to TUF 24 but due to unfortunate circumstances, Moreno was picked by Joseph Benavidez and the Mexican flyweight ended up helping Joesph train to beat “Triple C”.
“He can train fighters to get to the next level“- DC believes in Henry Cejudo’s training

Daniel Cormier is really excited about this fight, and going over it in the recent episode of DC & RC they discussed the role of Henry Cejudo in this fight, they believe Figueiredo will have an edge because of Cejudo, “You know especially with him moving over to Arizona training with Henry Cejudo, regardless of what you think of Henry Cejudo, he’s a weird little guy, he’s..he’s..he’d be annoyed but he does understand how to win and he can train fighters to get to the next level, let’s see what is on Figueiredo,” DC said.
He added, “Now, Figueiredo is a brute right, that’s what made people start to really take notice because he was knocking out people at 125 pounds, who does that? He knocked out Joseph Benavidez bad in Abu Dhabi to win the championship after he knocked him out the first time but didn’t make weight so he didn’t get the belt. So, the guy is an absolute brute, and when you saw Moreno stand up to that, when you saw him withstand all the pressure, yes you’re like wow this kid’s good.”
