Alex Pereira is a former kickboxer and competitive MMA fighter from Brazil. He presently fights in the UFC’s Middleweight division, where he is the current UFC Middleweight Champion. He is a former Glory middleweight and light heavyweight champion, and he is the first and only competitor in Glory history to hold titles in both weight classes at the same time.

A competitive mixed martial artist, kickboxer, and former boxer from New Zealand named Israel Adesanya has won numerous titles in each of these sports. He is a past UFC Middleweight Champion who now fights in the Middleweight division of the UFC as a mixed martial artist. He has previously contested for the Glory Middleweight Championship in kickboxing.

Israel Adesanya has fought Alex Pereira three times in kickboxing and mixed martial arts, and on each occasion, he came within reach of securing a win before losing the match. In their first UFC match, Adesanya again nearly finished Pereira in the first round and then led on before the Brazilian secured a comeback and won by fifth-round knockout.

Pereira and Adesanya are to meet again this April at UFC 287. This time Pereira is the UFC Middleweight Champion and Adesanya will be looking to take the title off of him and also put an end to the streak of losses against his long-time rival.

He believes that Israel’s previous three losses against him beares pressure on his shoulders while coming to this match. He believes he will put pressure on Adesanya and secure a fourth consecutive win. Pereira has a record of 7-1 and is currently on a seven-match winning streak. He is also the UFC Middleweight Champion.

When asked whether it will be his last fight in the middleweight division he said, “No no no there’s a lot of fights to be done I want to dominate this division.” Win or lose we are sure to see more of the amazing skills of Alex Pereira in the octagon in the middleweight division.
