It was a thriller of a fight with both artists brim with confidence, putting on a show and neither backed down as Figueiredo took home the win and the belt with the judges’ decision at 48-47.

At the post-fight press conference, ‘The Assassin Baby’ said that he felt he won the fight “but it is what it is“.

He was asked if he felt pressure to come back sooner rather than later for the fourth fight due to the level of competition in the flyweight division to which Moreno replied, “Maybe, yeah. You know the original plan, I was saying this in other interviews but the original plan was like fight you know January, then fight maybe May maybe June, and then fight in December for example. You know three fights in one year, sounds good and sounds a good pace of fighting for me. So, now I need to take a – to make a decision with my manager, with Jason to see what happened in the future but you know I’m hoping to fight ready – to fight soon.”

Moreno was later then asked if he was the matchmaker would he set up a fourth fight or would he let someone else fight Figueiredo to which he said, “Man I need to push very hard you know to the – with the company and yeah with my manager, with Jason to go for the fourth one against Figueiredo and we need to be very smart too.”

UFC 270 ended in Deiveson Figueiredo’s victory as he reclaimed the flyweight belt and has said that he’s open to a fourth fight and Brandon Moreno wouldn’t turn down the opportunity to take back his belt which he did win at UFC 263 when they fought at their rematch.

He was asked what he thought of Deiveson saying that he was open to having the fourth fight take place in Mexico to which he replied, “Man, that’s excited you know. I mean obviously, you can say whatever you want but at the end when the UFC put the offer to you, and sometimes the guy starts to say ‘No’, I started to say – to start to put a lot of different um, conditions so we’ll see.”

Moreno even responded to questions about him being tired to face Figueiredo however he rebutted such claims saying that though he didn’t want to have the trilogy match, he very much wants to take on Figueiredo for the fourth time as he feels the need to create history and is hungrier than ever.

If the UFC does set up a fourth fight between the two featherweights, then it would be the first time in UFC history that two martial artists have ever faced each other more than three times.

The current record stands at 1-1-1 between Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo so a fourth fight will surely be the last.
