“If he behaves,” Deiveson Figueiredo puts down a condition for the 4th fight against Brandon Moreno
Deiveson Figueiredo
The world is witnessing one of the greatest rivalries of all time. Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno have fought each other three times and the fans are yet to make a conclusion as to who the better fighter is.
UFC 270 hosted a much-anticipated trilogy fight, Brandon Moreno vs Deiveson Figueiredo 3. The two fighters have gone at each other two times in the past, where one ended up being a draw and another favoring Moreno where he took the flyweight belt from Deiveson. Today, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, the Brazilian reclaimed his title by winning the fight via a unanimous decision.
A very close fight came to end and the first thing the fans wanted was a fourth fight between the two. The likeliness of that happening is in the hands of the UFC but Deiveson gives his thoughts on the fourth fight in the press conference post-fight. Despite all the fierce rivalry, Figueiredo has a profound respect for Moreno and vice versa.
However, Deiveson wants to put it out there that the trilogy fight got booked because Brandon’s rival, Pantoja was hurt. The Brazilian doubts if Moreno would have fought him if things went well with Pantoja. “Bradon gave me the chance, well he didn’t want to up until Pantoja got hurt that’s why UFC gave us the fight,” said Deiveson.

The Mexican and the Brazilian are now 1-1-1 in the three fights. The first fight at UFC 256 ended in a majority draw, UFC 263 Moreno wins, and now at UFC 270, Deiveson reclaims his title. It is only right if the two fight another bout to settle the score in this intense rivalry. However, Deiveson has a condition. Now that he is the champion, he is willing to offer a fourth fight only if Moreno does not trash talk.
“If he behaves well over the course of next couple of months we will figure this out. I want to fight in the United States. If this is a good fight, he behaves well, we can do a kickass pay-per-view, this is where I make my money,” said Deiveson’s translator as the champ sat there with an evil smirk on his face.
“And actually talking about the fact that I was his biggest sponsorship. Well, I told him I was going to take that away from him. Fighting Brandon is going to be the thing that gives me more money.” Do you think there should be a fourth fight between the two or Deiveson should seek another contender for his next defense?
