Dustin is looking to move up a weight class in his career right now. A fighter who started out as a featherweight is now moving around as a middleweight fighter.

Dustin has not fought in the welterweight division in his career. If he ever fights Nate Diaz, the fight is most likely to be in the 170-lb division. The Diamond has revealed in interviews post the loss against Oliveira, that he is unsure if he ever wants to go through an intense weight cut and fight in the lightweight division.

The fighter has now lost two title fights in the lightweight division and might have to work his way up to fight for another title shot in the lightweight division. The fighter instead prefers taking on fighters that are exciting in the welterweight division. The Nate fight, for example, has been long due. The two stars were initially supposed to fight in UFC 230 in 2018.
