Ion Cutelaba will fight Ryan Spann in February 2022

Ion Cutelaba and Ryan Spann will be supposedly sparring in the upcoming UFC event in February of 2022. The light heavyweight division fighters will fight it out in the octagon and will come in with impressive records on their resume.

Cutelaba comes in with an amazing record of 16-6-1, with him winning 12 matches via knockout. He made his debut in professional wrestling and MMA in the year 2012 and competed in regional promotions across Eastern Europe. He was signed to the UFC in early 2016. His debut fight in the UFC was forgettable for him as he lost to Misha Cirkunov via Submission in the third round. He, later on, soldiered on with grit and determination to defeat his latest opponent, Devin Clark via a first-round knockout. He is currently ranked at #15 in the UFC light heavyweight division rankings.

Ryan Spann is also a formidable fighter belonging to the light heavyweight division in UFC and was the light heavyweight division champion in the Legacy Fighting Alliance. He has been fighting professionally since 2013, where he debuted for Legacy FC and then moved to Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. After an amazing performance in the Series, he was given a promotion to UFC. He won his debut fight in UFC via a unanimous decision. His latest fight with Anthony Smith at UFC fight night 192 ended in a loss for him. Smith held him down via a rear-naked chokehold.

Ion Cutelaba and Ryan Spann will face off with each other and they will be riding entirely different momentums.

Ryan Spann has last tasted victory in his last match about two years ago, so he would want to get the sweet taste of victory after such a long winless streak. Ion Cutelaba on the other hand has a recent victory in hand and would like to continue his winning streak.
