Israel Adesanya on Marvin Vettori vs Costa

The former UFC title challengers, number 2nd ranked UFC Middleweight fighter, Paulo Costa, and number 5th ranked UFC Middleweight fighter, Marvin Vettori is going to face each other in the main event of UFC Vegas 40.

Costa and Vettori both are coming into this fight with a loss against the UFC Middleweight champion, Adesanya in their last fight. Paulo Costa was booked to face Jared Cannonier earlier but he pulled out his name due to an injury.

Now he draws ‘The Italian Dream’ for the main event of UFC Vegas 41 and people are looking forward to see this highly anticipated Middleweight contest. The champion Israel Adesanya will be looking forward to this fight as well but ‘The Last Stylebender’ doesn’t seem this much interested in this fight.

Talking about Costa vs Vettori on his Youtube channel, Adesanya says, “It would be hard to bet money on this fight because they both suck… I am just being mean. I don’t really care who wins to be honest. I just want to see a good fight. I want to see my children do well. I really want the best for my kids.”

Israel Adesanya explained the difference between Paulo Costa and Marin Vettori’s fighting style

Adesanya defeated Marvin Vettori for the second time at the main event of UFC 263 and Vettori recently claimed that even after losing the fight Adesanya wasn’t this much impressive in the fight. Replying to him in the video Adesanya further added, “When Vettori fought me he wasn’t trying to fight he was just trying to survive, his attacks we’re basic, there’s nothing wrong with basics but his attacks were predictable. Vettori’s biggest weapon in this fight is his chin, the lego blockhead, he can take Costa into deep waters just by taking punishment.”

He also breaks down the fighting style of Paulo Costa saying, “Costa is not a bad fighter, I just made it look easy. Costa uses his jab very well and body kick. It’s something he can definitely take advantage of. His wrestling defense is also on point but his gas tank will diminish badly.”
