“It could definitely happen” – Jake Paul on a possible fight against Conor McGregor

Jake Paul and Conor McGregor

Jake Paul is riding the high horse now (or is he?); at least he has the right to do so now, since he has earned it. The YouTube star recently defeated Tyron Woodley, earning a narrow split decision win. With that win, he went 4-0 up in his career, staying unbeaten.

There was a time in 2020 when Jake Paul sounded off a disrespectful callout towards Conor McGregor. Although, the idea of fighting McGregor inside the boxing ring seemed farfetched back then, it does seem to make sense now – at least that is what ‘The Problem Child’ feels.

In a recent interview with the Nelk Boys (Full Send Podcast), Paul revealed that his fight against McGregor is “getting more and more real” as the days progress. The Paul brothers have all the capabilities within them – they can make anything happen. A testament to that is Jake Paul’s elder brother Logan Paul taking on the great Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition boxing match.

Paul was quoted as saying, “It worked, and it sparked a whole onslaught of attention and media. And then, reporters are asking him about me. Now, that fight is getting more and more real as every single day goes on… I mean, yeah, like, it could definitely happen. There’s talks with our managers. Anything is possible.” [via Sportskeeda]

Coming off the win over Woodley, Paul might face either Woodley in a rematch or Tyson Fury’s half-brother Tommy Fury. McGregor, on the other hand has been recovering from the ankle surgery, he underwent following his loss against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He is also serving a 6-month medical suspension and will be back on the 2nd week of January.

McGregor is currently focusing on fighting Poirier once again in a quadrilogy fight or probably even Nate Diaz (in a trilogy fight). Do you see a fight between Jake Paul and Conor McGregor anytime soon?
