The UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Jan Blachowicz is ruling the division right now which once used to be the ruling ground of Jon Jones. Jones became the youngest champion in UFC history by winning the Light Heavyweight title and then defended it numerous times.

Afterward, Jon Jones vacated his title for moving to the Heavyweight division but the current champion, Blachowicz hasn’t forgotten the promise Jones did to fight him. The pair was likely to face each other when Blachowicz knocked out Corey Anderson in the title eliminator fight on UFC Fight Night: Anderson vs Blachowicz 2.

Following his win, Jan Blachowicz called out Jon Jones who was in the stands at the post-fight interview and Jonny Bones promised to fight him. Blachowicz reiterated his claim and in his recent interview at Real Quick with Mike Swick podcast, he said he’ll never stop calling him.

Blachowicz says, “He promised me this fight and I will not stop talking about this, after when I beat Corey Anderson, he promised me this fight, So he has to keep his word and let’s go, let’s do this. … Anywhere, any weight. I will catch him somewhere in the future.” {H/T MMA News}

The champion, Jan Blachowicz is on a five fights win streak and in his last fight, he showed the world what he can do by defeating the UFC Middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, and ended his undefeated MMA streak.

On the other hand, Jon Jones is still fighting with the promotion for his contract negotiations to fight for the UFC Heavyweight title against Francis Ngannou. Blachowicz also added that if Jones doesn’t want to fight at Light Heavyweight he can fight with him at Heavyweight also.

He added, “Of course, I can beat him at heavyweight, we can do this extra fight — not for the heavyweight title if he wants — no problem for me. I am going to be ready.” {H/T MMA News}
