The former UFC women’s strawweight champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk has been recently removed from the official UFC rankings due to inactivity. It’s been almost 19 months since Jedrzejczyk made her last Octagon appearance against Zhang Weili and faced a split decision loss.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk expressed earlier that she doesn’t care about the rankings and in her latest interview with Ariel Helwani for MMA Hour, she backs her stand by saying, “It’s not like I do not care but I do not care, it doesn’t matter. It’s doesn’t bother me, that’s the thing. It doesn’t change anything. Because when I will be back, I will be back in the rankings and rankings don’t fight.”

“This is what I did a post about and a few days later it happened. They did tell me. Mick Maynard called us and said if I’m going to pull out of the fight, they’re going to take me out of the rankings because the girls are complaining. I think it’s more about me not fighting. It’s been a while, it’s been 19 months. I agreed to that.”

Jedrzejczyk produced a fight of the year performance against Weili in her last fight and although she didn’t reveal the name of the fighter whom UFC presented her next. But she is still waiting for a big name and a good sum of money for stepping inside the Octagon again.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk added, “There are so many fights but stupid fights, But I’m waiting for Rose and Weili. The winner or I can take even the second place. I just want to put on big fights. Dana knows. Dana is a businessman but Mick, has a different job and he has to make his own money. I bet he makes money out of making fights.”

“But we have a different agreement with Dana and Dana always backs it up. I remember what the UFC told me after the fight that I can take as much time as I can and I will be back to the top fighting the best. So I’m guessing the champion or the No. 1 contender. That’s it.” {h/t MMA Fighting}

Joanna Jedrzejczyk knows very well that with or without the title around her waist, she is a big draw in the UFC women’s strawweight division that is why she intends to show up again for a fight only when a big name comes across the table.

Jedrzejczyk added, “I feel like I deserve a bigger piece of the cake, I don’t see myself fighting out of the UFC but there are people who are interested in having me, putting big money on the table. It’s big. I’m a UFC soldier.”

“I feel like I sell the pay-per-views but I don’t get any points anymore. But I’m not complaining. I’m not the champ anymore but I feel like I deserve a little bit more.
