Joanne Wood’s better half has been with the UFC fighter for quite some time now. He goes by the name of John Wood. John is the head MMA coach at the Syndicate MMA Gym. John also happens to be the owner of the gym he is a coach at. Joanne and John revealed to the public that they were together in the year of 2019. John and Joanne got engaged in October 2019.
Joanne and John officially got hitched in October 2021 and have been happily married ever since. The Scottish fighter and her head coach got married during a training camp ahead of her fight at UFC Vegas 43. Joanne also spoke about being married to John and the pressure it came with leading up to a fight. “I loved the experience of getting married, it felt like fight day on wedding day,” said Joanne in an interview.
Joanne has her own social media handles in Twitter and Instagram. The flyweight fighter does not shy away from posting pictures with her husband and updating fans about her personal life. The fighter has over 150K followers on Instagram and more than 80k followers on Twitter.
