There is no question that UFC fighters are among the most resilient and dangerous athletes on the planet. They can overcome ordinary opponents in a matter of seconds and minutes because of their skills and knowledge of MMA. This is a hot debate for various people from different combat sports like boxing and kickboxing. UFC commentator and MMA enthusiast Joe Rogan has always advocated that MMA remains the best combat sport, without a doubt.
However, it is also a generally accepted fact among knowledge fighters and fighting experts. Furthermore, the level of conditioning and training involved in MMA surpasses sports like boxing easily. Subsequently, in the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, Rogan discussed who had the best body in the UFC. During his discussion with Brendan Schaub, Bryan Callen, and Sam Tripoli, they mentioned names like Paulo Costa and Yoel Romero. Rogan stated, “Luke Rockhold is longer and thinner. He’s beautiful, and all that. He’s a model, and there is a big difference, he doesn’t look like a gorilla.”
The discussion emerged after mentioning Costa‘s fight against Khamzat Chimaev, and they started discussing Costa’s physique. Subsequently, everyone on the podcast agreed that Costa had one of the best bodies in the UFC. In addition, they also mentioned Romero as a worthy contender for the discussion.
However, Rogan mentioned that Costa and Romero may have the best bodies in the UFC but aren’t the best-looking. Subsequently, Rogan stated that Luke Rockhold was one of the best-looking UFC fighters and had a great body. Rockhold has modeled for various brands, and Rogan must have considered that.
Joe Rogan comments on other UFC fighters’ physiques
In the same podcast, Rogan mentioned Drew Dober, a native of Omaha, Nebraska. Furthermore, Rogan stated that Dober has some of the best UFC fights, an amazing body, and great looks. Subsequently, Alan Jouban was also brought up in their discussion, and his body was compared to Costa’s physique.
In addition, Rogan mentioned Vitor Belfort and Lyoto Machida, who were former UFC champions. Subsequently, Rogan mentioned how both fighters were extremely handsome when they were younger. However, Rogan stated that nobody could be compared to Carlos Ulberg‘s looks and body. Ulberg has had a successful career as a UFC fighter and model, and Rogan felt he was in a class of his own.
Furthermore, Rogan stated that Ulberg’s body and looks remain unique and very attractive. Subsequently, Rogan’s fascination with men’s bodies may seem strange, but he is an avid fitness freak. Hence, Rogan has a profound appreciation for athletes who look good and take care of themselves.
