Bisping, former UFC middleweight champion who retired from the sport of MMA in 2018 and got inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2019, had many rivalries during his competition days which he has fairly squashed, but the one with Vitor Belfort is what won’t come to an end because Bisping’s fight against Belfort is what caused him to lose his eye forever. Belfort’s most notorious time as a mixed-martial artist is from his days when he was on Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), that version of Belfort with insanely huge levels of testosterone is known as one of the most dangerous fighters to ever step foot inside the UFC octagon.

Joe Rogan claims Vitor Belfort was way past the line of danger to have fought anybody, including Michale Bisping

In Bisping’s documentary starring many people that talk about the life of Bisping through different stages, Rogan is one of them, and he speaks enthusiastically about the condition Belfort’s body was in when he was fighting Bisping. Bisping was knocked out by Belfort in the second round of their fight back in 2013, which led Bisping to lose his eye.

“He [Belfort] was at a level with his testosterone that no human ever reaches, says Rogan You don’t get there, it’s not real. Like there’s a human and then there’s this new slot that you can fall into if you get just enough juice in your system… So he was going into that cage redlined and that’s who Michael Bisping fought,” concluded Rogan.

What do you make of Rogan’s explanation of Belfort’s testosterone levels? Do you think Belfort should be considered for cheating in the dangerous sport of MMA since TRT was not banned by the US Anti Doping Agency back then? Or should Belfort pay for the medical consequences Bisping paid in that fight particularly? No matter what, to become a world champion with one eye is a tale of inspiration that will be sung for ages when there will be a need for one and Bisping is one legend for this story.
