Bobby Lee recounts his experience during a trip to Israel on Joe Rogan’s podcast
On his recent appearance on Joe Rogan Experience, Bobby Lee recounted his unusual experience during a trip to Israel. The Israeli government invited Lee and fellow comedians Jamie Chung and George Lopez. However, an expected requirement stunned Lee as they asked the group to tweet positively about Israel. This put Lee in a complicated position.
Lee’s first positive tweet about Israel sparked a backlash as Palestinian supporters bombarded his comment section. He had the idea to explore the culture and hospitality of the country, but the reaction to the tweets created discomfort for the comedian. Lee unwittingly became embroiled in the complex political scenario with Israel and Palestine.
Rogan also chipped in his thoughts about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as he felt the actions of the IDF were unwarranted. He also found the rise in anti-semitism concerning the war in Gaza. Rogan was very critical of the group of Ivy League college Presidents’ testimony about the rise of anti-semitism in colleges.
