Jon Jones already sees himself as the heavyweight champion of the world.
The world waits for the return of former pound-for-pound champion Jon Jones. The former light heavyweight champion announced his move to the heavyweight division almost two years ago but is yet to make his comeback in the UFC. After a lot of troubles with the promotion and law, Jones revealed that he is finally ready to come back to the octagon in 2022.
Jones is known to be active on his social media, especially on Twitter. The fighter is always engaged with his fans and in a recent tweet, “Bones” talked about his future in the UFC. The fighter is very optimistic that he will wrap the heavyweight belt around his weight in the near future. So much that, he believes it is already written in the stars.
“My candle for light heavyweight blew out, it showed in my last fight, instead of being discouraged by a bad performance, I’m stoked about this new season. New energy. My time at LWH was over, I see that more clear today than ever,” wrote Jones in his tweet.

After Jones’ initial tweet, a fan spoke about the chances of Jones actually winning the belt again. “I’ve been imagining it for over two years now, I genuinely believe winning this heavyweight championship is in my destiny. It’s already been written. I just need to keep my nose in the dirt for now and keep working, everything else will take care of itself,” wrote Jon in reply.
Jones last fought in the octagon at UFC 247 in 2020. Jones came out of the light heavyweight division as the reigning pound-for-pound fighter. The UFC and the fans believe Jon Jones vs Francis Ngannou is the fight to make in the near future. The former champ has a record of 26-1 and is looking like a heavyweight already.
