Vicente Luque put on a stunning display as he earned a first-round submission victory over Michael Chiesa at UFC 265, which took place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. After it looked like Chiesa was gaining the upper hand, by going for a guillotine choke, Luque executed a stunning reversal with a tight D’Arce choke, making Chiesa tap in no time.

The win brought up Vicente Luque’s fourth straight victory, while snapping Chiesa’s four-fight win streak. Following his win, Luque made a respectful callout of welterweight champ Kamaru Usman, saying that he would meet him soon inside the Octagon. Usman was quick to react to Luque’s callout while also acknowledging his stunning submission win.

“We might be dancing soon” – Kamaru Usman

Usman wrote, “You looked great my man we might be dancing soon #ufc265.”
Fellow African and UFC heavyweight champ, Francis Ngannou chimed in as well. “Vicente Luque is the real deal,” he wrote.

“But remember who’s the CHAMP @USMAN84kg,” Francis then reminded everyone that Usman was the champ, and it wouldn’t be easy taking the title away from him.

A sign that he is watching me, he’s seeing what I can do. And, he knows that eventually I’m gonna get there to the title fight. And, yeah I will be ready.
