The former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov reveals in a recent interview that UFC President Dana White is still looking to somehow make the undefeated fighter make a comeback to the UFC octagon.

Khabib Nurmagomedov recently appeared in an interview with UFC Russia. In the interview, he spoke about many things, but one thing that struck the audience is when he revealed Dana White is still insisting the Eagle come out of retirement. Khabib last fought in the octagon at UFC 254 against Justin Gaethje and decided to hang his gloves after the death of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. Since then, the UFC team are trying to get back The Eagle to fight.

“You know a few days ago — I don’t know whether I can go on record, Abdelaziz called me a few weeks ago,” Khabib said. “He asked me, ‘Do you know what Dana White asked me?’ and told me (Dana asked), ‘Why does Khabib (Nurmagomedov) never ask me how much money I can offer for his return?’ I asked Abdelaziz, ‘This is the question for me through you or what?’ And he told me, ‘Nah, Dana just asked.’”

Khabib is very clear that no matter how much money he is offered, the Russian will not make a comeback. He has a perfect record of 29-0 in his professional career and has one of the most dominant careers ever. He is now currently working on businesses and helping his teammates pursue their goal in the UFC. The former champion wishes that Dana and his team understand his choice eventually.

“Look, I am really not interested,” Khabib said. “We went down this road. I said and did everything I wanted. I made the decision. However, (Dana White) is not giving up. Not even Dana but the entire UFC headquarters in Las Vegas, (Nevada). They assume I [I’ll] inflate my price or prepare my agenda for future negotiations. I left, ‘But come on guys, change my mind give me money or something.’ It feels like that for me. I believe they will understand me and my choice eventually.”
