Khamzat Chimaev vs Canelo Alvarez
Khamzat Chimaev breaks down a possible MMA fight against Canelo Alvarez! UFC’s welterweight champion, and pound for pound king, is lobbying for a boxing match against boxing’s pound for pound king, Canelo Alvarez. Usman believes it is the fight to make, and it has the potential to surpass the legendary clash between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.
No one from the MMA community is confident in Usman’s ability to beat Alvarez, and all of them believe Usman is just looking for the biggest payday of his career. UFC’s president, Dana White too believes it’s a fight he can’t win, and Ryan Clark even said Usman is not in his right mind to call out Canelo.

Khamzat Chimaev also presented his opinion on the issue during his appearance on “The Triple C & Schmo Show.” He said, “How is he going to fight Canelo? I don’t understand. The only people who want to see Canelo and him are only him and his manager. Did you see how he hit pads? We have to be realistic about it and the guy is not that level in the boxing.”

Chimaev is potentially just a win away from the welterweight title shot but he wouldn’t mind claiming the 185-lb pound belt solely because Izzy holds the title now. Khamzat now has four fights in the UFC and has fought in both, welterweight and middleweight divisions. However, the change in weightclass hasn’t slowed down “Borz.” The fighter ran through all of his opponents and finished them all in a dominant manner.
Chimaev aims on becoming the first three division champ in the UFC, and he claims a fight against Adesanya would be easier than Usman. He said, “Izzy, I think it will be easier for me to smash that guy (Usman,)” said Chimaev talking to Ariel Helwani. “He has zero wrestling. The guy he fought last time, he’s not a wrestler….he took his back. If I take his back, I’ll squeeze his head off. I’ll take his head off. Easy money for me.”
