Khamzat Chimaev on Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor has been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. A month ago, he got involved in an altercation with Machine Gun Kelly at MTV Music Awards, now he has been accused of punching an Italian DJ during his family vacation in Rome.
Khamzat Chimaev is one of UFC’s most exciting and promising prospects. The Chechen-born fighter made the headlines after getting 3 back-to-back wins in a span of just 2 months. He was supposed to face the welterweight contender Leon Edwards but got affected with the Coronavirus. His condition was pretty bad, and he even considered retirement, after a lot of counseling, he decided to come back, and now he’s making his comeback against Li Jingliang after 13 months.
Chimaev talked about Conor in his recent interview, he said, “Do I like Conor exactly as an athlete? Yes, he achieved everything in the UFC – he was a champion in two weight classes. This I respect with him. But it is impossible to respect him as a person.” (H/T RT.com)

Chimaev has been pretty dominant in his professional career, and he recalled the time when he was working as a bouncer in Sweden, he remembered one particular incident about a bunch of Irishmen, he said, “Three redheads come in – I don’t know [if they are] Irish [or] not Irish. If a person is too drunk, I cannot [let] him in. Because of this, I [told] them: ‘Come tomorrow, boys – you can’t today.’”
He added, “I worked there for six months, then I got bored. People are drunk and dirty. In general, I wanted to get a job as a firefighter. I thought I would learn Swedish and, if nothing worked out with sports, I would work as a firefighter.” (H/T Rt.com)
