The aftermath of Fanmio’s first endeavor into combat sports saw Nate Diaz sue them for breach of contract. The company promoted the Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal boxing bout on July 6 at Honda Center, Anaheim. The Stockton Pride says he received $1 million out of his compensation of $10 million in the matter. ‘Bad Guy’ Chael Sonnen has something interesting to note on that.

Nate Diaz edged out ‘Gamebred’ via a majority decision (95-95, 97-93, 98-92) in their Fanmio Pay-per-view headliner. Per the 39-year-old, though, Fanmio CEO Solomon Engel did not find his performance wanting enough. Engel has released a press statement rebuttal of such claims. ‘American Gangster’ Sonnen plays instigator again to do a deep dive into the cause.

I mean, this can be a slippery slope, right…I mean this is definitely a situation of 'the greater fool'…I love cryptocurrency. But as of right now one fool buys it and sells it to a greater fool…it has no utility — I only share that with you how Fanmio is going to come in with no history and no background…no numbers to show..And convince Nate and Jorge to fight.

With his usual salvo of insults, Chael Sonnen wanted to sub in as backup for the Nate Diaz vs. Masvidal matchup. Keeping a close eye on the state of things, he knows that promotional and commission fees are a big aspect of boxing nowadays, in the fractured era. This includes even amateur boxing. So it becomes a slippery slope of blame game when the guarantee was absurd to begin with.

Diaz evened the score from his third-round TKO at UFC 244. Consequently, he is new to the world of boxing. Before this, he lost one against Jake Paul. So, a nascent promotion fails to pay to a nascent boxer who didn’t get the fine print. That’s like selling Cryptocurrency to already gullible segments. As such, Sonnen at least commends better tactile callouts from the other end made to Diaz.

‘Weatherman’ Michael Chandler has to move on; Nate Diaz callout makes sense

UFC 303’s recent pay-per-view blockbuster headliner was to be Michael Chandler’s salvation. The former Bellator champ and current UFC lightweight was to face consensus buyout king Conor McGregor. The mega event and their return fight had already made a projected $20 million in live gate revenue.

Chandler’s long wait got even longer when McGregor suffered a hurt pinky and had to withdraw from the event and all media obligations. Sonnen initially said Chandler might as well wait after exercising so much patience. He has not had an active participation since his UFC 281 loss. Plus, it’s the money fight, after all. However, now, he’s changing up his tune.

Chandler recently revealed that he had a title shot offer against Islam Makhachev but decided to focus on a fight with Nate Diaz at UFC 306. This would be for the rebranded Riyadh Season Noche UFC at the “Sphere.” Chael Sonnen has a fundamental problem with that: different weight classes. Chandler has not made his welterweight debut yet. Top it off, Diaz isn’t contractually under the banner.

However, Sonnen thinks it still tactically makes sense. He is still keen on getting in there with McGregor, but he is done playing ‘weatherman’ and reporting the oncoming ‘Mystic Mac’ storm. He’d rather instead show McGregor that he has the power to move on, however improbable.
