Luis Pena 911 call released, brings out horrific details of the domestic abuse incident

Luis Pena

Former UFC lightweight fighter Luis Pena has been recently released from the company after his arrest for physically assaulting his girlfriend and to add up to how brutal and unfortunate Pena’s actions have been, the 911 call initiated by the victim has been officially released.

Luis Pena has a pro-MMA record of 9 wins and 3 losses. He was 5-3 in the UFC before being released. The time we are living in right now is putting the question of morals on various MMA fighters, especially the ones in the UFC. Previously it was Jon Jones and now it is Luis Pena. While Chuck Liddell was released from his arrest after his innocence was proven in a domestic violence charge against him, Jones is yet to be proven innocent, and here Pena is coming out explicitly guilty.

What Luis Pena’s girlfriend had to report during the call

In a call to 911, released officially by TMZ, Luis Pena’s girlfriend initiates Pena’s details as the convict and it was quite clear when she said that this is none other than the UFC lightweight himself, who’s just 28 years old by the way with possibly more potential fights ahead. Then she claims Pena has consumed alcohol and drugs. On being asked a particular question she also claimed that she was strangled or choked.

Then Pena’s girlfriend proceeds to tell how the incident took initially took place. “Well, I wasn’t trying to snitch, but since my boyfriend wants to be an a-hole, he put his hands on me, and he’s got to go.”She continues following another question from the interrogator “Well, he punched me in the face, but he did this also two days ago, I have the mark, I have a band-aid on my back, I have everything to prove it. So, I would like the police to come, and I want them to remove him. So, I can get my things and go the f— home.”

Police were called and arrived on the scene that previous night, but they did not make any arrests.“They were mad because I wouldn’t cooperate because I didn’t want to snitch on him, but unfortunately, I have to now. So…I would like them to come back.” When asked when was the last time she suffered from Luis Pena’s actions, it happened an hour before the call.

As disturbing as the details go out, this is not the first time MMA fighters have been showing a lack of control over their emotion due to the aggressive nature of their occupation. A pro fighter named War Machine was sentenced to life imprisonment when he brutally attacked his girlfriend and famed adult industry actress Christy Mack, which left bruises on her body and cuts on her face.

This is a very serious concern as to are fighters getting consumed by their love of violence? Should there be an arrangement for an aid mentally so that these fighters could lead a sane, human life once they are done with their work for the day? Because once these fighters use their fighting skills outside the cage and especially on a woman, there’s hardly any coming back from that, this affects the individual character alongside the public image.
