Israel Adesanya shows off his body
Israel Adesanya is training ahead of the mega-fight against his arch-nemesis Robert Whittaker at UFC 271. With 4 days left for the fight, Adesanya is already in great condition and has decided to show off his body for the fans on his social media.
UFC 271 is set to take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The event will be headlined by the much-anticipated middleweight title rematch between Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker. Both the fighters have been going back and forth for a long time and this time, Whittaker gets his chance to reclaim the title that he lost to the Stylebender at UFC 243.
With still a couple of days left for the weigh-ins, Adesanya is already in great shape ahead of the fight. Izzy is looking absolutely ripped for his bout at 185 lbs and looks to be training intensely for what could be the fourth title defense of his career. On Twitter, Izzy posted a picture of him sweating it out in the gym ahead of his big fight. “Manimal” captioned Izzy for this picture.
Israel Adesanya facing steroid usage accusations
Adesanya has never faced a lot of trouble making weight. In fact, the fighter is also called “skinny” by his opponents for their weight class. Adesanya is undoubtedly one of the most dominant middleweights. The fighter has cruised past his opponents ever since becoming a champion. However, in the past two years, fighters and fans have accused the fighter of being under the consumption of steroids.
Most recently, Izzy’s peer in the middleweight division, Sean Strickland, accused him of being under steroid use after the noticeable gyno in his chest. “We all know he’s on steroids. It probably helps his performance,” said Strickland in a past interview. Fans have also bought up the “gyno” issue to Adesanya on social media but the Last Stylebender responded to the accusations.
“So if I inject the steroids in my other tit. Will it get gyno too? Asking for a friend….” wrote Adesanya in a tweet addressing the accusations by poking fun of it. Izzy has claimed in the past that his gyno is due to the consumption of marijuana and not performance enhancement drugs.
