The number 11th ranked UFC Bantamweight fighter, Marlon Vera faced the former UFC Lightweight champion, Frankie Edgar this Saturday at UFC 268. Chito Vera secured a third-round TKO win in this fight and after securing this win a distorted image of Edgar’s face from the impact of Marlon Vera’s kick surfed over the internet.

These types of images have been one of the major attractions of the sport like MMA for years but Chito Vera isn’t a big fan of all these things. Moreover, he shares mutual respect in his heart for Edgar, talking about that image in his latest interview with Ariel Helwani for MMA hour, Marlon Vera says,

“It’s a f*cked up picture, I don’t post it. It’s f*cked up. I put it like this — it’s him or me. I always talk like this, it’s my family that I’ve got to bring the bread home against your family. I’m sorry. F*ck you for that. I’m going to do everything to do for my family, for my loved ones. We’re fighting for that. We’re fighting for a better future, for everything at home.”

Marlon Vera targeting to fight Cory Sandhagen or Merab Dvalishvili next

Chito Vera secured the biggest win of his career against Frankie Edgar and now he is aiming to fight any big name in the division such as former Bantamweight title challenger, Cory Sandhagen or Merab Dvalishvili.

Marlon Vera added, “Literally, how the situation is, there are only two guys ahead or that are free, which are Merab Dvalishvili and Cory Sandhagen, I can fight any of those two tomorrow.”

Merab Dvalishvili is on number 6th ranked in the division and he is on a seven fights win streak, talking about him Chito Vera added, “He’s a wrestler, I would be more scared if he was an Anthony Johnson type of f*cking guy.
