Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori are scheduled to take on each other in a stunning middleweight fight at UFC Vegas 41. Things have taken a turn after Costa admits that he won’t be able to make weight for the fight on Saturday night. The fight is set to take place at the UFC Apex, Las Vegas. In a recent interview with ESPN.com, Costa and Vettori had a hilarious conversation on which weight they would fight at.

After Costa admitted he can’t make weight, Vettori was baffled by his unprofessional approach to this fight. “You’re supposed to make weight! Every fighter here is supposed to make weight. We have a moment, it’s called weigh-in. Maybe you don’t know about it,” said Marvin in the interview.

Costa later admitted in the interview that he weighs around 211 lbs. Vettori has agreed to fight at 195 lbs and Costa believes he can make that weight with only 2 days to go. The Brazilian acted like Marvin was in the wrong and asked the Italian to “be a man” and turn up to fight an overweight Costa. “I don’t care you weight 185, 195, 205…your choice. It’s up to you,” said Costa.

Costa and Vettori are coming off losses against the champion Israel Adesanya. BT sport UFC posted on Instagram confirming that the middleweight fighters will move up a weight class and fight at 195 lbs. Costa asked Vettori to fight at 195 to avoid his pay-cut for missing weight. A class act from Vettori for agreeing to fight at catchweight with only 2 days to go for the fight.
