“Sign me the f**k up,” UFC Hall of Famer absolutely wants Nate Diaz, Vicente Luque to fight each other by 2022
Nate Diaz- Michael Bisping- Vicente Luque
Looks like Tony Ferguson is not the only opponent the fans want to see against UFC megastar Nate Diaz. The fans are also in for an exciting war between Diaz and UFC Welterweight Vicente Luque, ask the UFC Hall of Famer about it. Diaz has currently got one fight left with him. Not so long ago, Luque called out Diaz for a fight but the latter didn’t receive any further talks from the former’s side. Now, Diaz recently put out a tweet saying “There’s nobody else.”
In response to this, Vicente Luque’s manager Ali Abdelaziz tweeted “@VicenteLuqueMMA don’t have fight,” indicating to let’s make a deal. However, Diaz has responded to this since then. Now UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping, took to his Youtube channel launched earlier this year to talk about this fight and the fighter Diaz is.

“Nate Diaz, Vicente Luque, sign me the f**k up, it’s an absolutely huge fight,” said Bisping. “It all started with [Nate] Diaz went out there and tweeted something like everyone’s scared there’s no one here…and then Ali Abdelaziz who manages Vicente Luque said hold on, there’s Vicente here,” continued Bisping.
However, Bisping is missing a little bit of history in there because it all actually started with Luque as he was the one more than a month ago that was after Diaz and even Diaz was down with it. But according to Diaz, nothing happened from Luque’s side to initiate the talks and the Stockton native moved on to give an indirect callout of Tony Ferguson.
Moving on, Bisping continues saying “If you speak to Vicente Luque he’s out there telling the media that he is training for Nate Diaz… what a fight [it would be], and I have got to say, for Vicente Luque who’s won 10 out his last 11 [fights], does he need to fight Nate Diaz? Probably not, you know. But beating Nate Diaz, and beating him in style, would almost solidify that title fight.”
“[Nate] Diaz just showed how tough he is, because, in the last few seconds of the last round [of his last fight with Leon Edwards] or last minute or so, boom! One right hand and he almost got Leon wobbled all over the place… you can never count him [Diaz] out on anything” says Bisping praising Diaz’s toughness despite losing to Edwards. Looking at the last minute of the round Bisping is talking about, famous sports journalist Ariel Helwani once said “Those 60 seconds are all you need to know why Nate [Diaz] is the legend that he is.”
What do you think about this fight happening? Who do you get it winning if it happens? While Diaz is primarily known for his submission skills, he has an amazing style of volume have boxing that presents a sort of irregular pattern in his fighting style. Luque was already a knockout artist well respected amongst the welterweights but after his fight with Michael Chiesa and Tyron Woodley, he showed how dangerous he can be on the ground.
