The infamous brawl between Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller and Jake Shields (with Nick and Nate Diaz) remains the biggest black eye and one of the most infamous incidents in the sport’s history, and even after 11 years, the memory of this incident is as fresh as ever.

The infamous brawl between Jason “Mayhem” Miller and Jake Shields with Nick and Nate Diaz still remains one of the most memorable moments in the history of the Strikeforce.

After Shields defeated Dan Henderson to retain his middleweight title, Miller entered the cage, and he interrupted Shield’s post-fight interview, Miller had lost to Shields five months earlier and asked the champion “What’s up? Where’s my rematch, buddy?”

And as soon as he finished his sentence, Nashville was marred by a post-fight brawl, Chaos happened as Miller got jumped by Gilbert Mendez, Nick Diaz and Nate Diaz.

Shields was pulled away by his coaches and his team, but the rest of his allies kept fighting Miller including the Diaz brothers, punches, elbows and kicks were flowing, it was pure madness.

After a while Miller and Diaz had to be restrained by members of the commission, referees and Henderson’s team and the brawl eventually broke up.

Meanwhile the ring announcer Gus Johnson gave his infamous quote on this day, he said, “Ladies and Gentlemen, sometimes these things happen in MMA. A lot of testosterone in the cage. Gentlemen, we’re on national television!”

Many people thought it was stupid and he shouldn’t have said that, while the play-by-play commentator Mauro Ranallo murmured, “This is ridiculous.”

This event dates back to April 2010, and still remains one of the most iconic moment in the history of MMA.
