Joe Rogan is one of the most acclaimed personalities in the world. His podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience has 15 million subscribers. Moreover, its total viewership has crossed 3 billion. People from all walks of life appear on his podcast. One of his recent guests on the podcast was Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Rogan is also one of the closest friends of comedian Andrew Schulz. Schulz is also good friends with UFC fighters Sean O’Malley, Justin Gaethje, Kamaru Usman, Israel Adesanya, and Alexander Volkanovski to name a few. He was one of the guests on JRE in the recent past. During that episode, Rogan reminisced about the time his manager thought he had a ‘gambling problem’. This is what he said about it to Schulz.
My manager thought I had a gambling problem. I wasn't gambling at all, I was eating lobster every night. 'What are you doing with all your money?', I'm like 'I'm living like a king, b*tch!', I've been poor since I was a little kid.
Apparently, Rogan did not have a gambling problem. He was spending his money to lead a luxurious life as he was having lobsters every night.
Recently, Rogan was not present at UFC 294 in UAE. However, Schulz was in the audience at the event. Justin Gaethje even congratulated Schulz on X for his comedy show in UAE after the PPV event.
UFC 294 was the last PPV to not feature Joe Rogan. He was also absent at UFC 293 in Australia. However, he returned to the commentary booth at UFC 295 in one of the biggest fight cards of the year. Rogan’s next and final appearance of 2023 is presumed to be at UFC 296 in Las Vegas. Colby Covington and Leon Edwards will be headlining the event for the UFC welterweight title.
Joe Rogan explains why he spent money lavishly in his early money-making career
Joe Rogan is one of the most influential people in the world. UFC welterweight title contender Gilbert Burns once called Rogan the ‘voice of the American public’. Rogan, like Dana White is a proponent of free speech and it even came at odds with woke media. Many tried to cancel Rogan but failed miserably.
Growing up, Rogan had a tough childhood. His parents divorced when he was young and he did not have a lot of money growing up. That was one of the reasons why he spent money lavishly during his early professional career. He talked about it when Andrew Schulz was the guest on his podcast. This is what he said.
When I first started getting money, I didn't think it was going to last. There was no stability in it, you know. So, I was like, 'I'm spending this f*cking money.
Rogan is now one of the richest comedians in the world. He has the biggest deal ever with Spotify and his net worth is around $120 million. Even though he spends money lavishly, he does not entertain gambling which is something that UFC CEO Dana White enjoys too much.
