Jon Jones last night cemented his legacy as the greatest of all time with a win over Ciryl Gane at UFC 285. The former light heavyweight champion returned after three years to become the champion of the heavyweight division. He had some special people with him in the octagon to celebrate this victory.
You couldn’t have written a script like this for the return of Jon Jones. The fighter who went on a three-year hiatus did not show any signs of ring rust. After a flawless victory against Ciryl Gane at UFC 285, Jones invited his family into the octagon to celebrate. The fans did not expect his fiance, Jessie Moses to be in the octagon with him.
18 months ago, Jessie Moses accused the UFC Hall-of-Famer of domestic violence when they were in Las Vegas. Jessie seems to be sticking by the fighter despite the troubles during Jon’s three-year off from the octagon. The fighter was arrested in Las Vegas on charges of domestic violence.
Fans were also surprised to see his coach Greg Jackson. Jones, after his domestic violence case was banned from his long-time gym Jackson-Wink Academy. Jones’s former coach Mike Winkeljohn was not there to witness Jones’ crowning moment.

Jon Jones gave special thanks to his kin after UFC 285 win
Jones after winning the heavyweight championship gave a special thanks to his family members. “I want to thank my family, I want to thank my beautiful fiancee Jessie for being my biggest supporter. I love you so much,” said Jones. The fighter also kissed Moses after his win.
Jones’s father, and his NFL superstar brothers, Chandler and Arthur were also in the octagon. It is not often that these three make an appearance in Jon Jones’ fights. Jon after embracing his father, the fighter lifted him up with a huge smile. The fighter’s father has also revealed in the past that he was against the idea of fighting and wanted his son to preach.

The new heavyweight champion now has his eyes set on the widely acclaimed heavyweight GOAT, Stipe Miocic. The fighter called the veteran out and vowed to finish him in the octagon. Jones said in the octagon interview that he will be giving Miocic his ‘undivided attention’ in his training camp.
